Christopher Paul Curtis

Christopher Paul Curtis is the Newbery Award winning author of Bud, Not Buddy, which also received the Coretta Scott King Author Award. Christopher also received a Newbery Honor for The Watsons Go to Birmingham, 1963. His most recent novel is
The Mighty Miss Malone.

Christopher engages audiences with his stories of working in the Detroit auto industry and the path to writing his first children's book. 

Monica Brown

Monica Brown is a prolific author of children's picture books including Waiting for the Biblioburro, Marisol McDonald Doesn't Match/Marison McDonald no combina, and Side by Side: The Story of Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez. Monica's recent book, Pablo Neruda: Poet of the People received the Orbis Pictus Honor Award for Outstanding Nonfiction and the winner of the Americas Award for Children's Literature.

Monica's stories connect to her Latina culture. She is also a professor of English education at Northern Arizona University.



Harry Bliss

Harry Bliss is a well-known cartoonist and children's  book illustrator. He is the illustrator of Diary of a Worm, Diary of a Fly and Diary of a Spider written by Doreen Cronin as well as A Fine, Fine School by Sharon Creech. Harry is also the author and illustrator of Bailey and Bailey at the Museum. 

Harry's cartoons have appeared in The New Yorker magazine and on his website. Harry is delightful and funny as he shares his thoughts about writing and illustrating for a child audience.
